Arrived—Albion from Bluff. The Wieberg enquiry was commenced and adjourned, Pearce was bailed out in £1000. Lady Normanby is progressing favor, ably. ADELAIDE, May 29. The South Australian Parliament was opened to-day. The Government inti-1 mated the introduction of Bills referred to in the Governor's speech. Mr Boss gave notice of a series of questions relative to the late loan, and the general financial arrangements made by the Government. The House adjourned till Tuesday. The Gorarnor's speech stated that the proposed reforms in the Legislative Council would be postponed pending a settlement of the present difficulty in Victoria. It announced the in. anguration of extensive public works, considering that the colony was well able to bear an increased national debt. It was intended to introduce a measure to compel the propertied class to contribute more largely to the burden of the colony, thus enabling the Government to readjust the taxation through the customs; a Bill would fee introduced to compel the Chinese in the northern territory to contribute to the revenue.
