VITAL STATISTICS, 1878.
The following are the vital statistics for the Boroughs named, during the year 1878. The proportion of deaths between the sexes was —-Males, 704} females, 528. The number of deaths of children under five years of age was —Males, 306 ; females, 246, or forty-four per cent, of the whole number:—
