Canterbury Horse Market.—At TaiiersaH's, on Saturday last, 8_ horses of various desci iptions were submitted for the 'lay's sale. The first property offered was the sections in the town.«hipof Eicbmond, of which not-section was sold. The next lot was a fcurroomed house in Worcester street east, with land, 50 links by links, waa sold for £350. Twenty "hares in tbe Colonial Fire and Marine Insurance were disposed of for 4s per share. A quarter-acre of land, with four cottages, at the corner of Chester and Barbadoes streets, alter some competition was withdrawn at '.£1075. The property, house, and nearly seTen acres of land at Avonsi—e was parsed in at" £1450. One-eiphth cf an acre in Salisbury street, between Manchester and Madras streets, w_a said for £130. The rest of the properties were withdrawn.

Town sections in Ashburton were withdrawn. Suburban Ashburton sections. Lots 102 and 103, each two acres, on Alford Forest road, fetching each £47 per acre.
