| [Mr Little suggested the removal of certain trees that overhang parts of the river, whioh impeded the rowing, and cansed other inconveniences, which were inimical to the interests of the club. He would move the following resolution—" That with a view of getting removed the branches of the trees which overhang the river in the narrowest plaoes, the committee be respectfully requested to wait upon the Road Board, and urge thst this important work be done." Mr Bull remarked that with regard to the future ordering of boatß he would point out the desirability Of providing boats suitable for pleasure parties, in which members could take their friende, as, up to the present, most of the boats owned by the club were only adapted for racing purposes. The Chairman corrected Mr Bull, and thought he must be labouring under some misapprehension, as the club owned nine pleasure boats, and really only four that could be considered racing boats. - The matter then dropped. The Chairman, in closing the meeting, thanked' them for the honour they had paid him in re-electing him as captain. He had a few remarks to say about the uniform, and would point out that the uniform of the club was neat and appropriate, and he thougnt that men who habitually rowed ought not to appear in other colors than those of the club. The cost of the uniform was not great, and he thought all.rowing members should procure it. After a few other remarks on points of minor interest to the club, the meeting broke up with a vote of thanks to the chairman.
