Owing to the continual rain work was com•Mxmtively at a standstill in Ljttelton yesterday. Hioemoa. sailed last night at 11 ■p.m. with the members and excursionists for Welftagien. They "had a good southerly gale behind them to help them on their way. Thes.e. Botoraa, Captain Carey, discharged 62 ana landed 10 tons of cargo at the Steamers' Wharf yesterday, and sailed for Port Chalmers at 4tJSO v Jn. The s.B. St. Kilda, commanded by Captain Slowerday, arrived in harbor from Port Chalmers and Oamsm at 9:30 pjn. on Sunday. She left Port Chalmers on the evening of the 6th (instant, and arrived at Oamara on Saturday morning ; left again same day at 4 pjn. Experienced heavy southerly weather to errival as above. The St Xilda discharged 10 tons cargo and filled up at the Ko. 3 Wharf yesterday, sailing for Wanganm at 6 p.m. ,- The « s. Taupo, commanded by Captain Andrew, arrived in harbor from Port Chalmers via Akaroa on Sunder evening at 9 o'clock. She left Port Chalmers at 10 p.m. the ~th instant, reached Akaroa at 3 p.m. on the Bth; left again at 4.30 p.m., and arrived as above." She experienced strong southerly wind accompanied by rain and a heavy eeanpthoeoast. The Taupo landed 50 ana loaded 100 tons of cargo at tn» Staunere , Wharf, and sailed for Auckland, via Wellington and East Coast at 11 puin. yesterday.
