Lee Esq. and Dr. Deaxner, J.P.'s.] Dbunk and Disohdbbly. — Chrietena Clegg, arrested for drunkenness, and who was still suffering from ita effects, was remanded to Addingfcon for a week.—Alexander Mc Gil - vray, for being drunk and breaking a pane of glass in a cab, was fined 10s, 8s 6d amount of damage done, and 5s expenses of witness. — William Thompson was fined ss; George Brown ss; and Henry Williams, remanded from the previous day, and whom it was shown had been drinking about and leading a vagrant life, was gent to gaol for one month, with hard labor. Labceny.—Frank Liddiard was charged with stealing a cucumber from the shop of J. Nancarrow, Colombo street The prosecutor had been told that accused had taken the cucumber from-i r the- stand in front of the window, and" on following him up he found it in his hand. The cucumber was identified by Mr Nancarro-w as one he had placed in the window during the morning. Accused wae under the influence of drink at the time, and the prosecutor did not deeirejto press the charge. In reply to the Bench, accused expressed his regret at what he had done, and said he did not know what he was doing at the time. His Worship said that under the circumstances accused would be sentenced to 24 hours' imprisonment. Absenting. Himself fbom Sebticb.— David Findlay was charged on warrant with having absented himself from his master ■without leave. Accused had been indentured to A. "Walker in 1876. He absented himself in April last, 1877, but since that time had gone to the prosecutor, who would not, however, take him back until the matter had been settled in Court. On the application of Mr Loughnan, who appeared for the accused, a remand was granted until Tuesday, hail being allowed in one surety of £10. [Before C.
