I hereby give notice that, in pursuance of clause 16 of the Municipal Corporations Act Amendment Act, 1875, and clause 83 of the Municipal Corporati ns Act, 1867, the ANNUAL ELECTION of MAYOR will take place on tbe 20th day of December, 1876; and I hereby require all candidates to be nominated as herein mentioned before the day of nomination (Tuesday, 12th day of December) at the office of the Town Clerk. Any person desirous of nominating a candidate must do so by leaving at the office of the Town Clerk, before 4 o'clock on the afternoon of Monday, the llth day of December, a Nomination Paper, in tbe form, or to the effect given in the ninth schedule to the said Act of 1867. Such Nomination Paper must be signed by not less than three persons duly qualified to vote at tbe election, and also by the person named therein as candidate.
