205 159 Majority for Mr Montgomery... 46 The election caused great excitement during the day, and the result was received with loud cheers. The official declaration will take place on January 3rd. Mr Montgomery addressed the electors, thanking his friends for their support, and hoped to earn in the future the confidence of his opponents.
