LOWER HEATHCOTE SCHOOL.
The' annual festival and distribution of
prizes took place at the Bchpolroom on Thursday, the 23rd. The children (numbering over 300) assembled at 3 o'clock, and were amply supplied with cakes, buns, sandi wichesj biscuits, tea, &c, which had been | most liberally provided by the parents and | friends, and then adjourned to the school ; grounds.. In the evening the prizes were distributed, by Mr W. Montgomery, who gave I the'children a short address on the advantages of education. There waß a large namI ber of the parents present. ■--.
