The exhibition of good cheer this year was very superior, the shops of the butchers' being conspicuously decorated. Among the , display or mutton, lamb, and Veal afid "beef made by Messrs Westoo, Parnham, and Niven aod Barnard, the former had the carcase of a heifer bred by Mr Macfarlane, of Opldstream, weighing 11561bs ; Mr Parnham shewed the carcase of a pure bred heifer, bred by Mr T. H._ Harrison, weighing about 8 cwt, and the exhibition made by all of them received general commendation. - ,
