♦ I [Per Press Agency.] I Auckland, December 22. For Auckland City West to-day only Sir George Grey and Mr Dignan were nomi- j nated, and both were declared by the return- j ing officer duly elected. Sir George Grey spoke at length upon the-tendencies of centralism towards corruption, as shown throughout its history. Mr F. M. Clark addressed the City East electors last night. He declared himself unequivocally for abolition, and against separation, but was prepared to fight under any leader who would make the Land Fund Colonial Revenue. He received a vote of thanks.
