Friday, June Htf. (Before G. L. Mellish, Esq, R.M.) Creating a Disturbance in a Licensed House.—McDarment, George Harrison, and Alexander Hunter, were charged by Thomas Johnson, landlord of the Irwell Hotel, with having created a disturbance in his licensed house, and with having wilfully destroyed his property. No appearance of complainant. Case dismissed by the Bench. Assault.—Thomas Holmes, charged by James Eaton Haines, with having violently assaulted him. No appearance of complainant. Case dismissed. Drunk and Incapable.—Richard Amor, charged by the police with an offence of this nature, was convicted and fined 5s and costs. Civil Cases.—George Bright v Thomas Jenkins, claim £10 6s 2d, set-off, £8 14s ; plaintiff non-suited, with costs 225. John Metcalfe v Daniel Buckley, claim £5; plaintiff nonsuited, costs 20s.
