The objects of tbe Company are to acquire by purchase three acres of land and by lease for 99 years, at a nominal rent, two acres of land (both parcels in one block) adjacent to the Sawyer's Arms Hotel, at Papanui, and to erect thereon suitable yards for the purpose of yarding horses, cattle, sheep, and other stock therein for sale by public auction or private treaty, and to give the use of the said yards to the public at moderate charges. Ifc is conceived that from the central position of the locality where the company purpose to carry on its operations, as well as from its distance from other sale yards, aud jits many conveniences, the proposed sale yards will be a great benefit to the public, and will offer a very remunerative investment [ to the shareholders. It is expected that at the end of the first year of the company's operations a dividend equal to from 10 to 13 per cent on the invested capital will be receivable.
