CHRISTCHURCH. Friday, November 6. (Before i_\ C. Bowen, Esq,, E.M.) DBUJfK AND DISORDERLY. Andrew Peterson, for drunkenness, was fined ~>s, or 24 licmrs ; Joliu Collins, alias Smith, for being drunk and committing an act of exposure at tlie Railway Station, was fined 20s. or 48 hours; and John Harris, 10s. TEMPOBABY LICENSE. On the application of Mr W. Wjnn Williams, permission was granted to Mr J. Wild, holder of the license of the Sawyer's Arms Hotel, Papanui, lately bnrnt down, to continue the license in a temporary bar and rooms to be erected on the site of the late hotel; Mr Wild to again make application at the first quarterly sitting of the Licensing Court to be held io December uezt.
LYTTELTON. Thursday, November 5. [Before J. T. Kouse and H. Ailwright, Esqs., J Pβ. J LARCENY OF A SHOVEL. Charles Fisher was charged with this off.'rice- It appeared th>it the accused parloini d the article from the works of Messrs Hawkins and Martind&le, at the breakwater, and it was discovered by detective Walker on board the Kambler, cutter. As the prosecutors did not wish to press the charge, the prisoner was dismissed with a severe caution. USING ABUSIVE AND THREATENING LANGUAGE. — Clark, charged with this offence to detective Walker, was fined 10s.
