Mails close at Chief Poßt Office for the following places, subject to necessary alterations :— For Fiji, Sandwich Islands, United States, South, Central, and British America, West Indies, United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, &c.,&c., via San Francisco/per s.s. Cyphrenes on Saturday, 9th May, at 7 a.m. Newspapers at 6 a.m. Late letters may be posted with the usual fee till 7.45 a.m. Money orders and registered letters at 5 pan., on Friday, Bth May. ' For Northern Provinces of New Zealand, per Cyphrenes, on Saturday, .9th May, at 7a.m. : For Otago, Southland, and .the Australian Colonies, per Alhambra, on Saturday, May 9th, at 2 p.m. For Northern Provinces ot New Zealand, per Taranaki, on Saturday, 9th May, at 2 p.m. ; J-J.
