BARQUE MALLARD.
The barque Mallard, Captain Duncan, which arrived from London on Saturday, reported spesterday at the Customs. Captain Duncan reports thjit he left the Downs on December 25th, and experienced heavy gales for-the first ten days, and had very, light NBrtrades ; crossed the Bqnator thirtyfour daya out; had light S.-B. trades ; had northerly and ;S,B, winds to March 17th ; Strong Grinds" froni N.W, to S.W. up to April 18th jhad .ordinary winds on 21st, and on the 22nd encountered a heavy gale from N.W., veering rouud to B.W. and South, the vessel shipping heavy seas, during which the long boat waastove in, galley, forecastle doors,- and aportiop of-;the bulwarks were carried away ? eightwl -Banks Peninsula on the 23rd. The barque brings, no passengers.- She .has a- frill general cargo, and (pines; consigned to the New Zealand Shipping Company.
