Mr Charles Clark's monthly auction sale was held at Mr Loe's Hotel, Leeston, on Friday, April 24th. There was a numerous at« tendance of buyers,-and ; the bidding throughout was most brisk. Subjoined are the quotations :—Cows, £4 17s 6d to £5 10s ; c Ives,': 23s to 38s ; fat bullocks, £6 2s fid; young steers and heifers, from 2 to 4 guineas ; store pigs, 10s 6d to 43s < 6d, according to quality ; lambs, 4s to 10s, and sheep, from 4s6dto9a6d.

I" Melbourne.—The "Argus" of April 14th reports :—ln the import market business for the week has commenced with a fair prospect. BreadstuffS' show little animation, and only trifling sales are' reported. Flour is quitted in bakers'lots at from £14 las to £15, but there is only a very moderate demand.
