Mails close at Chief Post Office for the following places, a3 under, subject to necessary alterations :— For the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, Africa, America, the West Indies, and Sandwich Islands, via Suez and Brindisi ; also, India, China, the Australian colonies, Dunedin, and the Bluff, per the s.s. Rangitoto, on Saturday, August 2nd, at 9 p.m. Money orcfers and registered letters at 5 p.m. Newspapers at S p.m. Late letters, with the usual fee, may be posted till Sunday morning, at 8.45 a.m. For the Northern Provinces of New Zeaand, per the s.s. Phcebe, on Friday, August Ist, at 2 p.m. For Akaroa, Timaru, and Port Chalmers, per the Beautiful Star, on or about August 2nd, at 9.30 a.m. F. E. Wright, Chief Postmaster
