CELEBRATED WORCESTER SAUCE CAUTION AGAINST FRAUD. The success of this most delicious and unrivalled Condiment having cansed certain dealers to apply the name of " Worcestershire Sauce " to their own inferior compounds i the Public is hereby informed that the only way to secure the genuine, is to ASK FOR LEA & PERRLNS , SAUCE and to see that their names are upon the wrapper, labels, stoppers, and bottle. Some of the foreign markets having been supplied with a spurious Worcestershire Sauce, upon the wrapper and labels of which the names of Lea and Perrins have been forged, L. and P. give notice that they have furnished their correspondents with power of attorney to take instant proceedings against Manufacturers and Vendors of such, or any other imitations by which their C' <?ht may be infringed. Ask for LEA & PERRINS' Sauce, and see ,Nane on Wrapper, Label, Bottle, and Stopper. Wholesale and for Export by the Proprietors, Worcester; Crosse and Blackwell, London, Sec., &c. \ and by Grocers and Oilmen universally. To be obtained of MATHESON'S AGENCY Christchurch. HUBBUCK'S PATENT WHITE ZINC PAINT is the most durable and beautiful paint known, does not stain or discolour with the atmosphere of large towns, and by their process, which ia patented, is cheaper tnan White Lead. It is especially adapted for pa'lnting iron, as, by virtue of a semi-galvanic action, it enters the pores and forms amalgam of the two metals, which protects the decay or incrustation. It should be used*instead of Bed Lead, which is proved to be destructive to Iron exposed to Salt Water. Adulterations.—Some Paint Grinders have been selling Zinc Paint adulterated with Sulphate of Barytes, in proportions varying from ten to thirty per cent. No workman can produce good work with such material. Those who have obtained the Patent White Zinc Paint from grinders wht have not adulterated it, will never willingly use any other Paint for their best work. Each. Cask of Pure White Zinc is stamped —"Hubbuck, London, Patent." Thomas Hubbuck and son, White Lead, Oil, Paint, and Varnish Wobks, 24 Lime Stbeet. "For public schools, and all rooms occupied by children there will now be no excuse for using poisonous paints. Parents have remarked that their children on returning from the country to newly-painted houses have suffered in health. The reason is evident— the breath extracts the insidious poison from paint, and the lungs draw in the deadly vapour."
