Shortly after 'the close of the poll, the Returning Officer, Mr E. G. Wxight, declared the numbers to be as follows :— : : ; Cooper. Norman. Road Board Office... 48 ... 200 Bingsland ... ... 124 ... 3 Styx Mill ... ... 0 .... 33 Totals... "... 172 ... 236 , Majority for Norman 64 Mr Cooper proposed' a vote of thanks to the Returning Officer for his efficient services,-which was seconded and carried, and the proceedings terminated.
