Road communication has been stopped during the past three days. The Orari protective works have beeu washed away, and the farms south of the river flooded, and stacks washed away. The water was rounds ijfadswortli's accommodation house. The Waihi river was half-a-mile wide on the Geraldine road. Two piers, and the south approach of the Opihi bridge were washed away. The suspension bridge across the Temuka river has been destroyed. Mr Dale, butcher, was washed out of bis trap on Saturday while crossing the Temuka. His horse was drowned and his trap smasbed. Mr George Bradford was drowned on Sunday in attempting to reach the Temuka suspension bridge. A large part of the Temuka township was under water.
