t The schooner Jane Anderson, arrived in harbor on Monday morning. She is from the Grow,-Picton, and left that place on Thursday evening. When within a few mHes of Cape Campbell she encounterc-d a heavy ga,ieir<im south-east, bore up tv Port Underwood for shelter in company with the Mavis and Cora. She left again on Snnday. aud arrived as above ; from Port Underwood had northerly weather to Sunday last, when she encountered a strong north-west gale ; had to closew*eef canvas.

Stephens master. left Newcastle on ihe 19th ult; experts-need fine weather upto tbe olst December; an«i in CSSolc's Straits strong north-west pales : from that date to arrival at 2.30 p.m. yesterday liad variable'wit ids from north to north-easts.--She reports having spokeu a whaiinp barque Water Witch, with seventy barrels, all well. She bring* a cargo of coals. The s-s. Maori. Captain Malcolm, sailed for Dunedin via intermediate ports, yesterday afternoon.
