7 ~~~i BOROUU. OF KAIAPOI. EXTRAORDINARY tACANCY. THEREBY GIVE NOTICE that in pursuance of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1867, Section 113, I appoint THURSDAY, the 11th day of January next, for the purpose of ELECTING one person, being duly qualified to act as a COUNCILLOR for the Borough of Kaiapoi, to fill an extraordinary vacancy caused by the resignation of William Buruip. In pursuance of Section 83 of the said Act I require all candidates at such election to be nominated at the Council Chamber within the Borough aforesaid, on Thursday, the 2Sth day of December, at the hour of noon. And I require that any person desirous of nominating a candidate shall, before four of the clock in the afternoou of Wednesday, the 27th day of this instant December, cause to be delivered to mc a nomination paper, in : the form in the ninth Schedule to the said Act, or to the like effect, stating therein the christian and surname of each candidate, together with the other particulars required in and by the said Schedule. And such nomination paper shall be signed by not less than three persons qualified to vote at such election, and also signed by the person named therein as a candidate in token of his assent to being so named.
