SATURDAY EVENING CONCERTS.
TO THE EDITOB OF THE PRESS. Sir—Oα M. Fleury's first visit to Chnstchuxth.a few weeks since, he gave three or £ concerte, which, from their intrinsic lent, attracted large audiences. I think now that he has become the lessee n f the Theatre, he would find it more to his interests were he to inaugurate a series or similar musical entertainments every featnr'tfarevening, at million prices, rather than invite the public to witness such ultra sensational abominations as the " Bottle no doubt he would be able to procure the services of tfce principal -.instrumental and vocal talent in Christcburch, and with a little per- ? «rerance and the exercise of his undoubted jsjanct judgment as a musician, would soon establish a popular entertainment deserving of support. Similar performances take place fcrery Saturday night in Melbourne, and Saturday evening concerts, at a cheap tariff, have long been a popnlar and lucrative institution in England. Trusting M. Flcury may entertain the hint I have thrown out jn his own interest, I am, &c, Musicus.
