THE objects aimed at by this Associatoin are the preparation of the Pkormium Tenax in a more marketable state than has hitherto been attained, and the prosecution of a series of carefully conducted experiments with a view to discover the best method by which the fibre can be rendered more fit for manufacturing purposes. The Committee invite the co-operation of all parties interested in the growth and production of flax, in furthering the objects of the Association, the importance of which, to the welfare of this province, and to New Zealand generally, cannot be over-estimated ; it is therefore, with tho utmost confidence, they appeal to all classes of the community to assist their efforts with liberality.
