RANGIORA.
Thursday, March 30. [Before G. L. Mellish, Esq., R.M., and J. E. Brown, Esq.. J.P.] Furious Riding. —T. Nicholas was charged with this offence by Constable Thoreau. Accused had been riding furiously through the town on the previous evening. A fine of £5 with costs, or in default a month's imprisonment was inflicted.
Abusive Language.—The accused in tho foregoing case was also charged with using abusive and obsceno language in a publio place. The offence was proved, and a fine of £1 and costs inflicted.
The civil cases heard were of no publio importance.
