POST OFFICE NOTICES.

Mails close at the chief post-office, Christchurch, for the undermentioned places :— For the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, America, and the West Indies (via San Francisco), on or about Saturday, the 26th inst. Hours of closing in a future notice. The rates of postage via San Francisco will be the same as via Suez. Mails for Otago and Southland at 11 30 a m on Monday, the 21st inst. Mails for London per ship Celceno at 11 30 am on Monday, the 21st inst. Letters must be specially so addressed. Should the Celceno remain in Port, supplementary mails will be made up at 2 p m. F. E. Weight, Chief Postmaster.
