POST OFFICE NOTICES.

Mails close at the chief post-office, Christchurch, for the undermentioned places :—

Mails for Otago and Southland at li 30 a m on Friday, the 18th inst. Mails for the Australian Colonies, Otago and Southland, at 10 45 a m, on Saturday, the 19th met.

For United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, Asia, and Africa, (via Suez and Southampton), at 10 45 am on Saturday, the 19th met.

For United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, Asia and Africa (via Suez and Marseilles), at 11 n m on Saturday, the 19th inst. For United Kingdom specially addressed "Via Brindiei," at 11 a m on Saturday, the 19th inst.

Late letters for all the above places will be received until 11 25 am on Saturday, the 19th inst., such late letters must be fully prepaid, and in addition bear in postage stamps one single rate of postage as late fee. Persons posting late letters, should be careful to note that the late fee is a single rate of postage, and varies according to route and destination, viz : —

United Kingdon via Southampton, late fee 6d. United Kingdom via Marseilles, late fee lOd. United Kingdom viaßrindisi, late feels3d. Australian Colonies, late fee 6d. Otago and Southland, lato fee 3d. Money orders at 10 a m on Saturday, the 19th met. Registered letters at 10 a m on Saturday, the 19th met. Newspapers at 10 a m on Saturday,-the 19th met. For the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, Amerioa, and the West Indies (via San Francisco), on or about Saturday, the 26th met. Hours of closing in a future notice.
