RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

Cheistchubch—August 28. [Before C. C. Bowen, Esq., B.MJ Dbtjnx and Incapable.—Thomas Foster was charged with this offence. As it was his first appearance His Worship dismissed him with a caution. Drttnx and Incapable.—John Laughlin, Peter Hargreaves, John Wilkinson and John Ourran were each fined 10s. James Forsell was charged with drunkenness and indecency. His Worship inflicted a fine of 10s. Breach op Destitute Persons Belief Ordinance. —Anthony Ferrick was charged, on the information of his wife, with deserting her and her five ohildren. The Inspector of Police stated that the complainant called at the police depot, this morning, and left word that an arrangement had been come to between her husband and herself. She was informed that she would have to attend the Court, but she had failed to do so. His Worship said that under the circumstances he would dismiss the information.
