little grain is at the moment coming to town, and buyers for shipment are mors inolined to postpone operating than advance anything upon present rates. In liquids we hear of Hennessy's in bulk moving at 8s 3d, and of some small eales of second brands, an average of 7s 3d being realised. Genevas, light duty, have been quitted at 13s 6d ; and a parcel of common ports at equal to £5 17s 6d. Cornsacks go off in parcels for absolute wants, at 15s 6d; and candles are looked for, but holders' rates are firm, and no large sales are noted. Kerosene is getting low in stock, and prices moving upwards. Sugars, in demand ; and teas not neglected, though at the moment nothing important transpiring. In miscellaneous goods we note Jordan's almonds at 2s 2d; Brown and Co's (new brand), a first shipment, rice »tarch, at 4id; and corn flour, the same manufacturers, at 6£d. A few packages of oilmen's stores witness well maintained prices.—" Daily Times," May 8.
