I HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that, in pursuance of " The Municipal Corporations Act, 1867," S. 113, I appoint Tueeday, the twenty-fifth day of May instant, for the purpose of electing one person, being duly qualified, to act as an Aeseeeor for the Borough of Kaiapoi, in the place of Mr Peter Ludwig Nielsen resigned. In pursuance of S. 83 of, the said Act, I require all candidates at such election to be nominated at the Council Chamber, within the Borough aforesaid, on Thursday, the thirteenth day of May instant, at the, hour of noon.
