RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
Chbibtohttboh —April 26. (Before 0. C. Bowen, Esq., E,M.) DBOTTE A3CD INCAPABLE. Frank Richards, W. Humphries, and Frederick Price were brought up charged with the above offence. The two former were dia-_ missed with a caution, and the latter, who appeared on bail on Saturday in a state of intoxication, was fined 10s. Mary Ann Kirkwood was also charged mth the above offence. Prisoner was remanded until this morning for enquiries. EMBEZZLEMENT. Archibald Macfarlane wae brought up oa bail charged with the above offence. On the application of the police prisoner was furthe? remanded until the 6th May next, Lxttblton—April 26. - [Before Wrn. Donald, Esq., KM.] ■WIFE BEATING. John Durran, waterman, was charged with ill treating hie wife, whilst in a state of intoxication. The defendant was fined 20a for boiog drunk, and for the other offence was ordered to be bound over, himself in £40, and two sureties of £20, to keep the peace for cis months. He was locked up in default.
