The s s Rangitoto, Captain Hagley, sailed at 3 30 pm yesterday for Melbourne via Dunedin and the Bluff. She takes a large quantity of grain from this port. The schooner Wild Wave, Captain O'Brien, arrived in harbour) yesterday morning from Charleston, which port she left on Monday, the 29th. Experienced light winds and fine weather during the passage. The Colonial Government ps Sturt, after receiving a thorough overhaul, was taken off the slip at Evans' Bay yesterday. It is probable she will be placed at the disposal of HRH, should he require her services after his arrival here.—" Independent," March 30. j
