Captain Fergusson's appointment as president of the Marine Board of South Australia is confirmed. Tbe Tararua sails at 3 p.m. Adelaide, March 16. The branch mail steamer Alexandra was sighted off Glenelg at 6 p.m. today, and the Marseilles portion of her mails was delivered about 9 a.m. London, Jan. 29. A representative meeting was held on the 19th of artizans and their wives at the stores of the Australian Meat Importing Agency. Mr W. B. Richardson presided. The object of the meeting was to bring under the notice of the working men the value of in-ported meats.
