A MEMO RIAL having been presented to the Board of Education from a considerable portion inhabitants of the Hororata and Wakaepa District (as hereinafter described), statingthat no provision has beeu made for Publio School Education in the said district, and praying for the erection of such district into a separate Educational District, I hereby-giv-e notieje, ; in accordance with the provisions of the Educational Ordinance, 1864, that- a PUBLIC MEETING of the owners and occupiers of land and householders resident in district, will be held on THURSDAY;- the 11th day of MARCH, 1869, at 6.30 p.m., at Mr Ward's house, Forks of the Selwyn} for the purpose, of ascertaining whether ;such owners, occupiers, and householders. are willing that the said district should* be formed into an Educational District,- also for ascertaining whether such owners, occupiers and householders are willing to provide the proportion of the annual expenses of an Ed ucational District, to be paid by such district as provided by the Education Ordinance, 1864. The following is the description of the proposed distriot:— - " /{; 7 Commencing at the point where the road tc the east of section 10,806 touches the River Hororata; thence westerly along such river to the western boundary ol run 57 j thence northerly along such western and easterly along the northern boundary of the same run to the River Wakaepa ; thence along such river to the road, to th« east of section 10,806 ; thence Boutherlj along such road to the starting point.
