IN PURSUANCE of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled The Regulation of Elections Act, 1858, and of another Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled The Provincial Elections Act, 1858, I, William Donald, Returning Officer for the Provincial Electoral District of Town of Lyttelton, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a Writ bearing date the sixteenth day of February, 1869, issued under the hand of hie Honor the Superintendent of Canterbury, an Election will be held for the return of one qualified person to serve as a Member of the Provincial Council for the said Electoral District, and that the Nomination of Candidates will take place at the Resident Magistrate's Court, Lyttelton, at the hour of noon, on Monday, the first day of March, 1869; and that the Poll (if necessary) will be taken on Wednesday, the third day of March, 1869.
