THE following are the regulation! for tha Savings Banka established at Christohurch Lyttelton, Kaiapoi, Timaru, Akaroa, and Waimate:— 1. Interest at the rate of 5 per cont.p or annum is given on suras leaa than £200 ■at the rate of 4 per cent, per annum on auma over £200; and in the same proportion for any shorter time on every oomplete £1 deposit provided that no interest be allowed on mora than £500. 2. Depositors in the Poet-office Savings Banks have directed Government security for the prompt repayment of their monoy. 3. A depositor in any one of the Postoffiee Banks can continuo his deposits at any other of such banks, and can withdraw his monoy at that Post-office Bank which is most convenient to him. 4. The strictest seoreoy is observed with respeot to the names of depositors in Postoffice Banks, and the amounts of their deposits 5. Married women may deposit money ia the Poet-office Savings Banks, and money so deposited will be repaid to tho depositor, unless her husband gives notice, in writing, of marriage, and claims payment of the do* posits. 6. Money may bo deposited by or on behalf of minora. Depositors over seven years of age are trcnted aa persons of full ago j but minors under seven years of age cannot withdraw their deposits until they have reached the age of seven. 7. Applications to tho ohief ofllco in each province on tho business of tho Pout-offica Savings Banks, and tho replies sent thereto, are free from charge for postago. THE MOST WONDERFUL DISCOVER?
