Messrs Wilson and Alport report an improvement in the price of cattle. At the Carlton yards on Wednesday several head of fat cattle brought nearly 40s per lOOlbs j seven three:year-old steers and heifers, good quality, in thriving condition, sold at £8 12s 6d per head ; two fair quality dairy cows, £7 5s and £& lot; yearliug draught colt, £9 15s ; second hand HornabyV plough, £5 ; set of two harrows, £i 17s 6d. Messrs Wilson and Alport report the sale by auction oh Monday last of ths lease of the steam flour mill and biscuit bakery, in the estate of Aulsehrook and. Meadows for a sum equal to £1030.
