Through bills of lading are issued at moderate rates, and shippers may rely on regular delivery in good order in schedule time. This Company's steamers leave Sydney on the Ist, and Wellington on the Bth, of each month, are due at Panama on the sth or 6th of the following month, and will form regular connection there as follows :— I Fob Southampton : Leave Colon on 6th or 7 th, arriving at Southampton 29th of each month. Fob San Fbanciboo: Leave Panama on 9th, arriving at San Francisco on 22nd of each month. Other steamers of the P M S Company leave Panama on 2nd, 17th, and 24th of each month for San Francisco. Fob New Yobk: Leave Colon on the 6th, arriving at New i York on the 14th of eaoh month. j Other of the PM S Co.'s steamers also leave Colon for New York on 14th, 20th, and 28th of each month. Passengers hooked from all this Company's Agencies at through rates to Jamaica, St. Thomas, Havannah, Trinidad, Vera Cruz, and Demarara. First-class passengers are allowed 336 lbs, or twenty cubic feofc, for luggage ; second-class, 168 lbs, or fifteen cubic feet, which must be delivered at the Agents' office, Lyttelton, twentyfour hours before the departure of the steamer, when it will be labelled, manifested, weighed, and measured.
