POST-OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails for the Northern ports and. Australian colonies will close at Christeniirch at 11 am., and Lyttelton at 2 p.m.,on Wednesday, the 27th instant. On and after Monday, October 7, mails for Timaru and the South road will close nt this office at 6 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesday s, and Fridays. On and after the Ist January, the Oxford and Moeraki Downs mails will close at Christchurch at 8 a.m. every Tuesday and Friday, instead of IWqnday, Wednesday, and Friday ; and for Hurunui at 8 a.m. every Monday, instead of Mondays and Wednesdays, as heretofore. ~~ Prebbleton—Mails will close at 11.15 a.m every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Clanricarde—Mails will close at 2.45 p.m. every Saturday. Mails for Addington will in future close at the Chief Post-office, Christchurch, at 10.30 a.m. every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, and for St. Albans at 9.15 a.m. on the same day. F. E.
