The Panama, New Z< aland, and Australian Royal Mail Company's steamship Airedale, from Wellington, arrived in Lyttelton yesterday morning -.it about four o'clock, bringing on the Southern portion of the English mail received via Panama. The heavy westerly gale that blew all yeste day was a severe trial to the shipping in Lyttelton harbour. Several ships dragged their unehors a considerable distance, and one vessel broke away and came into collision with another, but we have been unable to learn the extent of the damage done. It is report* d that one craft was blown out to sea by the gale.
