POST-OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails for Otago and Southland will close at Christchurch at 8 a.m., and' Lyttelton at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, the 6tb instant. Mails, per Tararua, for the United Kingdom, the Continent of Europe, America (via Panama), and the Northern ports of New Zealand, will close at Christchurch at 10 a.m., and Lyttelton at 130 p.m. on Wednesday, the 6th instant. Money orders must be procured at Christchurch before 3 p.m., and Lyttelton before 1 p.m., and registered letters posted before 5 p.m., on Tuesday, the sth instant. Late letters for places within and beyond the colony, by payment of an extra sixpenny stamp upon each letter, can be posted at Christchurch till 1 p.m., and Lyttelton till 2.15 p.m. on Wednesday, the 6th instant. A Post-office has been opened at Ohinetahi, Governor Bay. Mails close for it at Christchurch at 8 a.m. on Saturdays. The name of the Post-office near the Racecourse has been altered from "Harewood road" to "Yaldhurst." This alteration became necessary in of there being two HarewOjpd r..uds. F. E.
