CATTLE. 30 Head Dairy Stock, consisting of— EIGHT MAGNIFICENT MILCH COWS, And the remainder PAIL-FED HEIFERS AND STEERS, Also, SEVERAL BAGS OF PRAIRIE GRASS SEED. N.B.—This grass is coming into high favor in the dry countries of Australia. The following extract is in reference to the Experimental Farm of the Agricultural Society, Melbourne. The " Australasian," of March 9, says :—" The Queen of all the grasses is undeniably the prairie. We are very glad to find that the demand for it, judging from the orders received by the seedsmen, is spreading, for it is literally invaluable. At the time when all other grasses fail, summer or winter alike, it is always forthcoming." And immediately after the above sale of Stock, &o.— 2000 acres or thereabouts of magnificent cattle or sheep country, situated in the Forks of the River Selwyn, together with the homestead, wash pen, and pre-emptive right, will be submitted in one lot.
