New Advertisements. District Militia Offioe, Christchurch, Maroh 4, 1867. WITH Reference to District Orders of the 22nd ult., respecting the Firing for the Colonial Prizes at the Hillsborough range, on Saturday, the 9th inst., the Commanding Officer directs that the competitors be divided into three squads. No. 1 Squad to consist of the members firing from the two Batteries of the L. V. A., the Engineer Company, and the District and Regimental Staff. No. 2 Squad to consist of the members firing from Nos. 1, 2, 3, and 4 Companies C. R. V. No. 3 Squad to consist of the members firing from Nos. 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10 Companies C. R. V. Captain Hargreares and second Lieutenant CM. Igglesden will score for No. 1 Squad. Lieutenant Mytton and Ensign Blakiston will score for No. 2 Squad. Lieutenant Hawkes and Ensign Glydo will score for No. 3 Squad. All officers of the companies firing to be present on tho ground to give their services to the Commanding Officer if required. The choice of butts to fire at to be deoided by lot on the ground. Ammunition will be on the ground, and supplied to Commanding Officers of companies on their requisition. Each company will bring their signal flags and brushes and paint with them, and detail a marker, who, if employed, will be remunerated in accordance with Clause 26 of the Regulations for Firing.
