A passenger informs us that just before he left Tauranga, a Native came in and delivered to the Defence Mini«ter a letter containing the account of the capture, by the Hau-haus, of one of our Engineer Corps, and that he was still in their hands. As for the truth of it, he further states that the editor of the " Tauranga Argus " informed him also that he received a copy of the original document for publication in their next issue. The Sturt has come up for coals and ammunition, and will leave again for Tauranga to-morrow morning.
