Goyerxmext Securities. — Victorian, 6 per cent, April-October, 101 to 105; New South Wales, 5 per cent, 1871-76, 90 to 92 ; New Zealand, 9S to 100, new ditto, 5 per cent, SI to S5: South Australian, 6 per cent, IS7B and upwards, 106 to 103; Queensland 6 per cent January-July, 91 to 93. The London Chartered Bank's dividend is 4- per cent; a balance left for re-distribution last December, £13,226; and £3000 for colonial building fund.

Failures.—Messrs Grant, Murdoch and Co., East India merchants, liabilities near £300,000 ; Messrs Scott and Co., extensive shipbuilders, Scotland, large liabilities ; James Schofield and Son, cotton-spinners, Oldham.

At the half-yearly meeting of the Panama and New Zealand Company no dividend was declared; debentures for an extra £70,000 are to be issued. The exports to the colonies for the month ending 15th December, ex Stable's circular, show a decline of £138,613 ou previous months, the respective values being £1,149,056 against £1.287,699 to Victoria, decrease £162,311 ; Tasmania, ditto, £15,523; New Zealand, £28.906; Sydney, an increase of £15,199 ; Queensland, ditto, £11,716 ; Adelaide, ditto, £8305.

PRODUCE MARKET. Skins sold at lOd to lOkl. Market dull at easier rates.

Tallow — Good demand. Market firm; Od advance on last month's sales. P.Y.C. on the spot, £14 to £49 ; Australian: good mutton, £13 6s to £4-1. Stock on hand, 49,410 casks against 51,074 casks.
