MEN, WOOLSTAPLERS, I j AUCTIONEERS AND OTHERS. a ENTLEMEN,—I have the honor of informing you that having made arrangements with the Proprietors of the new Town Hall, High street, Christchurch, for the use of that building as a Corn Exchange and Public ■ Hall, I intend opening the doors every Saturday at a-quarter to twelve o'clock, COMMENCING ON JANUARY 5, 1867. It is expected that about two hours will be sufficient for all Buch business as is usually accomplished on an Exchange. The proprietors having met my tenancy in a liberal spirit, enabling a want often felt to be satisfied, I trust you will cheerfully render that co-operation which must secure a permanent pubhc good. A commercial centre where the many can meet will save much valuable time, increase confidence, and promote the interests of the district. THE UNDERSIGNED beg to inform farmers, merchants, and others, that their Mills will be open to receive wheat and other grain for Grinding from the 25th January, and assure those who favor them with their orders that they shall receive their strictest attention. The Mills will be under the management of Mr William Fraser, who has had above twenty years'experience in milling in England, America, and the Australian Colonies ; which they trust will be a sufficient guarantee that all flour, &c., will be turned out in a firstclass manner. I HEREBY GIVE NOTICE, Pursuant to Clause VT. of the Canterbury Waste Lanis Act 1866, that on the 22nd instant an application was lodged in the Land Office, Christchurch, by Joseph Hawdon, to adjust the boundary line between pasturage runs Nos. 216 and 217, and also between pasturage runs Nos. 200 and 216, situate in the Province of Canterbury, all of which runs are held under pasturage license by the said Joseph Hawdon. H any person can show cause why such adjustment should not' be allowed, the same must be made known to the Waste Lands Board before the 17th day of January, 1867.
