Ko illness of any kind had occurred during the passage; and the immigrants were unanimous in expressing their gratitude to the Captain, Surgeon, and other officers of the ship, for tho caro and kindness they had experienced throughout the voyage. The Commissioners fire happy to he able to report that a very efficient matron had been appointed, who fulSlled her duties in a very satisfactory ; manner, and is spoken of by the feamles under her charge as having shown them great kindness and attention on all occasions. The hospitals are a great improvement upon niaiiy, that have been noticed in previous arrivals. The distilling apparatus (Nomiahdy ? s) had noted '• well throughout the voyage. The, provisions of all kinds had given : satisfaction, with the exception of one brand of preserved "\ inetjt ; (Hector's), nearly all of which was condemned in the course of the voyage.. The Commissioners recommended that all gratuities he Donald, Rich. R. Armstrong, John T. Bouse" . Tho Panama, New Zealand and Australian Royal Mail Company's steamship Tararun, Captain R. H. Ferguson, commander, arrived in Port at hulf-past eight a.m. yesterday. She left Wellington at four p ra. on the 17th, Captain Ferguson reports .fine weather and smooth sea during the passage. Amongst the passengers is Mr Hargreaves, M.H.R. for Lyttelton.. She left this port for Melbourne and the Bluff at sis p.m. yesterday, •with the English mail on board. Tho 3.b. Wanganui arrived in harbor yesterday at six am. with forty head of cattle and four horses on board. She left Wellington at half-past eleven ami on the'i7th. She sailed again for Wellington at forty-five minutes past three yesterday.
