THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT of Marlborough hereby Invite Tenders for the Design and Erection of a Cart Bridge over the River Wairau, near tho present ferry, and on the direct road from Blenheim to 1 Picton. The designs to be for either a wooden or an iron structure, and the bridge to be erected and maintained at the expense of the contractor, who will be guaranteed the exclusive \ right of tolls, according to a fixed schedule of rates, for a term of fourteen years. A plan showing the proposed site and sections of the same; also, a statement in reference thereto, and the schedule of tolls to be charged may be inspected at the Office of Public Works, Christchurch, Canterbury. Tenders will be received until the thirtyfirst day of December, 1866, at the Office of the Provincial Secretary, Blenheim, where all local information can be obtained.
