THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT of Marlborough hereby Invite Tenders for the Design and Erection of a Cart Bridge over the River Wairau, near the present ferry, and on the direct road from Blenheim to Picton. The designs to be for either a wooden or an iron structure, and the bridge to be erected and maintained at the expense of the contractor, who will be guaranteed the exclusive right of tolls, according to a fixed schedule of rates, for a term of fourteen years.
